For Ken Rodeck, the dream was always a new wood boat. When he moved to Fontana he discovered a local legend on Geneva Lake, Streblow boats. With more than 130 Streblows gracing the water, he knew he wanted to be part of that legacy.
Ken’s first personal experience with Streblow’s quality came when he brought another boat in for refinishing. He was so impressed by the flawless workmanship that he decided it was time to build his own.
This is where the true “made to order” experience begins. Ken didn’t just pick a model; he partnered with our team to bring his vision to life. After choosing a 26-foot hull, they worked closely together to perfect the design. The collaboration didn’t stop there. Ken became a regular at the shop, visiting weekly to watch his boat take shape from the very first board to the final launch.
His close proximity to our shop was key. Living just minutes away meant he was always on call. If we needed a custom measurement for the interior, Ken was there in a flash. This deep, personal involvement ensures every detail is perfect and is the hallmark of our process. We build only one or two boats a year, pouring all of our attention and passion into making each one a masterpiece.
